![]() The districts also don't really feel like they help that much to be worth the vast resources you need to sink into them when you could just improve the hamlet or your own characters, with only a few exceptions (and even then it's random on when or even if you'll actually get the district you want). In turn this makes me feel less like I've got a new region to explore and more like I've downloaded an enemy encounter mod for the regular game. Sure we have a new location, but would it really have been so bad to just get this added to the areas you could choose from? Requiring me to get an invitation makes it feel more like some weird mod I'm using that's exploiting a backdoor to get me into an area I'm not normally supposed to get into. I was really looking forward to this DLC too since I like the game a lot (it's a little too unfair with a little too much luck for me to say I love it) but this feels like surprisingly little has been added. It sounds like a pretty hefty add-on, so don’t expect it to come cheap. It's a real shame that this DLC turned into another detriment to the game like the Alien Hunters DLC in XCOM 2. ![]() We still don’t know how much it’s going to cost, but it will add a new area (The Courtyard), the Flagellant, a new type of enemies, four new local bosses, a new wandering boss and much more. He’s going to be added to the game with the Crimson Court DLC, which is set to launch on June 19th. ![]() The developers have compared him to the Abomination, which only makes him more exciting, for us at least. Keeping him one foot in the grave all the time could pay off immensely. ![]() Finally, he get a lot of bonuses for being at death’s door, including 20% more damage done, 5 accuracy, 2 speed, and 20% resistance to bleed, stun, blight and debuff. As comfortable as one can get while playing this game, of course. ![]() There’s an interesting risk/reward dynamic to get comfortable with here. He can sacrifice his sanity to increase another’s, cause bleeding to himself in order to heal a teammate, take over others’ debuffs, drain life from enemies to heal himself, and more. ![]()
